On October 24, 2013, the globally operating lubricant group FUCHS PETROLUB presented its FUCHS social sponsorship award for the fourteenth time in the presence of patron, Lord Mayor Dr. Peter Kurz. The increased total sponsorship fund of EUR 50,000 meant that children and youngsters of all ages, people in mourning, migrants and those suffering from mental illness in Mannheim could all be taken into consideration in the projectsselected. 'The FUCHS sponsorship award is an expression of our recognition of the diverse commitments and social interaction in Mannheim,' explains Stefan Fuchs, Chairman of the Executive Board at FUCHS PETROLUB.

The largest individual sum of EUR 10,000 went to the 'Trauercafé' project. This project helps people who have lost a loved one to overcome their grief. A further EUR 8,500 was awarded to the project entitled 'Ohne Musik wäre das Leben ein Irrtum' or 'Life is nothing without music' of the 'Freunde der Krippe Weidenstraße' support group. In addition to this, Willis GmbH & Co. KG, FUCHS PETROLUB's insurance broker, once again provided EUR 5,000 as a donation.
