Privacy Policy for the use of YouTube

FUCHS SE, Einsteinstraße 11, 68169 Mannheim, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “FUCHS”) has published this Privacy Policy to inform you about the processing of your personal data on this social media channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClctLZEARn6ExLy6C4h3dJg) and who has access to the data provided by you.

As the operator of this social media channel, FUCHS is one of the responsible parties in accordance with data protection law. This means that FUCHS is also liable to ensure that your data is processed legitimately through this channel and that you are also able to assert your rights regarding your data against FUCHS (see Art. 26 GDPR).

Your personal data can be collected through cookies on this social media channel, even if you do not have a YouTube account. Cookies are data packages that give users’ computers, smartphones and other devices a certain label. They are regularly stored on the user’s device when visiting a YouTube channel, including our channel. YouTube receives, records and processes the information stored in the cookies, particularly when the user visits the YouTube services, services provided by other members of the group and services provided by other companies that use the YouTube services. Other instances, such as YouTube partners and even third parties, can also use cookies on the YouTube service pages in order to provide services to the companies advertising on YouTube. Please refer to the YouTube privacy policy for further information on the use of cookies by YouTube.

Cookies are primarily installed for displaying personalised advertising to visitors of the YouTube channels. This is done by displaying adverts to the user on our YouTube channel by YouTube’s advertising partners whose website the user has previously visited. Cookies also make it possible to create social media profile usage statistics so that YouTube and FUCHS can trace the use of a social media channel.

The collection of your data by cookies within the scope of the use of the social media channel is not prescribed by law or contract. It is also not required for the conclusion of a contract. There is therefore no obligation to transfer your data to YouTube. However, failure to transfer your data (e.g. by blocking cookies) means that we will not be able to provide you with our social media channel, or are able to do so to a limited extent only.

FUCHS operates this YouTube channel in order to present its services to YouTube users and other stakeholders who visit this YouTube channel and to communicate with them. Users’ personal data is processed on the basis of FUCHS’ legitimate interest in an optimised presentation of its company (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR).

Your data may be transferred to Google Inc., USA, through the cookies. Google is certified for the EU-US Privacy Shield, i.e. when dealing with users in Europe, Google must comply with a data protection standard that the European Commission has found to be similar to the European standard.

With regard to your personal data, you can request from FUCHS to

  • provide information in the form of a copy of the personal data and related information,
  • provide this information in a structured and machine-readable format,
  • correct the data in certain cases if it is incorrect,
  • delete the data, particularly if you withdraw your consent or it has served its purpose, and
  • restrict the processing of the data in certain cases.
  • You may also object to the use of your data for direct advertising purposes at any time.

YouTube users can change the advertising settings to influence how their user behaviour may be recorded when they visit our YouTube channel. The YouTube settings and objection form provide further options in this regard.

The processing of information through the cookies used by YouTube can also be blocked by adjusting your browser settings to block third-party provider or YouTube cookies.

If you believe that the processing of personal data by FUCHS does not meet legal requirements, you can complain to the competent supervisor authority.

For further details on the use of cookies by YouTube, please read the Google privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de).
