Description

GLEITMO RLC 3100 is an air drying 2-component Solid Film Lubricant having PTFE as a constituent for lubrication efficiency. The product forms a dry lubricating film, which is distinguished by its excellent lubricating effect and high degree of abrasion resistance. GLEITMO RLC 3100 is largely resistant to mineral oils and fuels.

Field of application

GLEITMO RLC 3100 is mainly used for dry lubrication of rubbers and polymer materials. GLEITMO RLC 3100 can be pigmented with color additives from the “GLEITMO Colour” range in order to achieve colored, covering coatings (e.g. on O-rings).

Method of application

The parts to be coated must be thoroughly degreased using a suitable cleaner. Component 1 (K1) should be stirred well before use.
Mixing ratio:
100 parts [wt%] GLEITMO RLC 3100 K1 +
2 parts [wt%] GLEITMO RLC 3100 K2.
The mixture GLEITMO RLC 3100 (K1 and K2) is ready for use but may additionally be diluted with water subject to the application requirements. Pot life: It is recommended to use the batch within a period of 3h max.
GLEITMO RLC 3100 may be applied by spraying, dipping or using a spraying drum. In order to achieve quicker drying and improved wetting and adhesion of the coating, the parts may be preheated to about 70-80°C before coating.

Note

Protect from freezing!
Stir well before use!
Shelf life of single components: 18 months in closed original container at room temperature.
