From a family company to a global enterprise for lubricants

Founded in 1931 as a family business in Mannheim, today there are 58 operating companies with over 5,000 employees in more than 45 countries under the umbrella of FUCHS PETROLUB SE. FUCHS is the world's largest provider among the independent lubricant manufacturers.

Ordinary and preference shares in FUCHS PETROLUB SE are officially traded on both the Frankfurt and Stuttgart stock exchanges. The preference share is a member of MDAX. With over 50% of the ordinary shares, the Fuchs family maintains the majority vote.

Bronze plaque for company founder Rudolf Fuchs

On September 20, 2017, company founder Rudolf Fuchs was awarded a bronze plaque at the "Kurpfälzer Meile der Innovationen".

Together with Dr. Manfred Fuchs, Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and his daughter, Dr. Susanne Fuchs, member of the Supervisory Board, the bronze plaque was presented to the public at a small ceremony.

Roswitha Henz-Best, deputy chairman of the association of the supporting association “Kurpfälzer Meile der Innovationen e. V.”, paid tribute to Rudolf Fuchs' far-sightedness. He recognized early on the importance of high-quality lubricants for the economical operation of machines and engines and developed numerous innovative products for different areas of application.

The "Mile", which extends along the Mannheim Baroque Palace, will in future consist of 42 bronze plaques reminiscent of the region's innovations and innovators. Among them were automobile pioneer Carl Benz and significant dramatist Friedrich Schiller.
