Women in executive positions
Specified targets for the proportion of women in management positions at FUCHS SCHMIERSTOFFE GMBH
Against the backdrop of legislation for the equal participation of women and men in management positions in private industry and in the public sector, relevant management levels, targets and target dates for the promotion of women have been discussed intensively at FUCHS SCHMIERSTOFFE GMBH and targets for the percentage of women in various management levels specified. In parallel to the specification of these targets, deadlines for their attainment are to be determined, which must not exceed five years. If the proportion of women is below 30% at the time at which the specifications are made by the Management Board and the Supervisory Board, the targets must not fall below the proportion that has already been achieved. The targets initially had to be specified by September 30, 2015, giving a deadline of until June 30, 2017 at the latest.
The Management Board of FUCHS SCHMIERSTOFFE GMBH has defined the first two management levels below the Management Board as follows:
(1) The first management level mainly comprises the managers immediately below the Management Board with responsibility for staff
(2) The second management level comprises persons who report directly to the members of the first management level
At 0%, the proportion of women in the Management Board of FUCHS SCHMIERSTOFFE GMBH in April 2017 corresponded with the target set in 2015 of 0%. The proportion of women in the Supervisory Board of FUCHS SCHMIERSTOFFE GMBH was 33% in April 2017.
The target specified in 2015 for the proportion of women in the first management level below the Management Board (to maintain a proportion of women of 19%) was just missed at 18% (April 2017). The target specified in 2015 for the proportion of women in the second management level below the Management Board (to maintain a proportion of women of 15%) was not achieved at 14% (April 2017).
Based on the status quo and ahead of schedule, the Supervisory Board and Management Board of FUCHS SCHMIERSTOFFE GMBH defined the following new targets for the proportion of women in the Management Board, in the Supervisory Board and in the two management levels below the Management Board in April 2017, each of which is to be attained by December 31, 2021:
• Supervisory Board 33%
• Management Board 0%
• First management level 18%
• Second management level 14%
